SmartStart Loan

Getting off to a good financial start is so important these days. That’s why we’re offering the SmartStart Loan For Students to help establish a good credit history and get on sound financial footing, right from the start! Students 18 and older can borrow up to $1,500 for 36 months, with payments under $50. They can use the money for anything that’s on their wish list – maybe a new computer, books and course materials, even electronics – the choice is theirs!

Here’s an extra bonus – First Jersey CU will make the last SmartStart Loan payment if the loan runs its full term and all the regular payments have been made on time.

Visa Credit Card

  • $250 balance with a co-signer (must be at least 17 years old to apply).

College Scholarship

High School seniors that are members of First Jersey Credit Union are eligible for a $1,000 Scholarship to the college of their choice. Applications can be picked up in the fall at either branch or downloaded from our website. All applications are submitted to the NJ Credit Union League for a statewide competition for a $1,000 scholarship. All applications are reviewed by the state, and the top scoring members win.
