Membership Eligibility
Anyone
who lives, works, worships or attends school in Bergen and Passaic counties
and the underserved areas of Essex, Hudson and Union counties, as well
as family members of current members, is eligible for membership!
Membership is free!
Membership with First Jersey Credit Union is free. Simply request a membership application, complete it and return it, along with your initial deposit of $10 to open your Share Savings Account. This initial deposit is not a fee; it goes directly into your newly established account.
Membership is for life!
Once you become a member of the Credit Union, you become a member for life, even if you change jobs, relocate or retire. All you need to do is maintain $10 in your share savings account.
Membership is for families!
After you become a member, family members are automatically eligible for membership. This includes children, spouse, parents, brothers and sisters. We've extended our policy to include aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Make First Jersey Credit Union a family affair!
